More often men and women suffer failures in any kind of relationships due to simple ignorance of each other's needs, but not because of selfish unwillingness to pay attention to each other.
According to the recent analysis the psychologists have identified 5 basic things a man needs:
- sexual satisfaction;
- companionship for resting;
- attractive spouse;
- support of close people;
- admiration and respect.
As for the woman most of all she needs:
- affection (non-sexual);
- intercourse;
- honesty and openness;
- financial support;
- family commitment.
Some men and women may say quite sincerely that they do not need all or one of these needs. While others do not consider themselves obliged to satisfy the needs of their partners by underlining they need them more than their partners. However, when it comes to more serious relationships the vast majority of both genders agree that the above mentioned requirements are among their deepest needs. If the needs of the men and women are so different, it is no surprise that people find it difficult to adjust to life together. A man may have good intentions to meet the needs of his sweet girl, but if he thinks that her needs are similar to his own ones he will likely suffer failure. And conversely, failure befalls the women, who believe that men prefer to get the same gentle treating that is so nice for the women.
For a man love is comparable to the food, but respect is tantamount to the water. One can live without food for 40 days, but without water a man will spend only a few days. The respect of a woman helps a man to value the girl, who trusts, respects and loves him.
